After a first career in financial services, including as Country Manager for a global insurance broker in France, Geraldine moved into consultancy in 2000. Since then her focus has been on:
- Developing the legal practice in Nicholson McBride Fisher, working with global City and Magic Circle firms. The work includes coaching key individuals; developing partners' new business development and people management skills and design and delivery of Development Centres at all levels, aimed at supporting lawyers in their development towards partner.
- Designing and delivering modular leadership development programmes examples include: for the business leaders of a large franchised, automotive manufacturer and retailer; for the global high potentials of a large Swiss pharmaceutical company; for new managers in an international Lloyds underwriting syndicate. The programmes covered the full range of commercial business skills, leadership and management behaviours.
- Designing and delivering one off masterclasses on a range of topics including: Effective Delegation; Delivering Feedback; Handling Conflict; Developing Resilience; Navigating Internal Politics; Team Dynamics; Effective Networking and Business Development; People Management etc. for a range of clients across investment banking; the legal sector; wealth managers; the oil and gas industry; the automotive industry; the insurance sector; media and beyond.
- Coaching a range of senior executives from both the public and private sectors, to ensure they achieve their performance aspirations, often securing desired promotions in the process, and working with their teams to maximise team performance.
Geraldine has delivered development and training worldwide, in the USA, UK, Europe, Middle East and Far East. She speaks French fluently, having studied it at university and lived and worked in Paris for 7 years, and is also competent in Italian.
Geraldine graduated with Combined Honours in French and Italian from Exeter University, later gaining an MBA from Cranfield School of Management. She holds a Diploma in Performance Coaching from Newcastle College.
She is qualified in a wide range of psychometric tools including: MBTI, Hogan, TMS, Strengthsfinder and regularly delivers masterclasses based on the Nicholson McBride Fisher RQ (Resilience Quotient) tool.
